Morton's Neuroma

I had a neuroma in my left foot about 10 years ago and had the nerve removed successfully. I now have a neuroma in my right foot and my podiatrist tells me that they no longer remove the nerve as the first treatment - they either use Cryoanalgesia which is an inpatient procedure not covered by my insurance but recommended by the doctor because recovery time is only 48 hours. The other procedure is "decompression of the nerve" which is a 5 day recovery time and is covered by my insuracne. The nerve removal is approximately a 3 week recovery time. Has anyone had either Cryoanalgesia or Nerve Decompression done and can give me some pros and cons? Much appreciation for any responses.
