velcro and orthotics

Post a new topicby dory on Tue May 12, 2009 8:07 pm

I have new orthotics. I am having trouble wearing them with sandals. Even in the sandals with removable footbeds I am having some trouble with them shooting out the back once my feet get a bit sweaty and produce more friction. This often happens in the middle of a long walk. I read about velcro on another thread. Has anyone tried using velcro to help their orthotics stay in place? What do people do for summer footwear when they have orthotics?

I buy orthopedic sandals. I just don't think an orthotic will stay in a sandal in a practical way. There are many high-quality sandals on the market with orthopedic footbeds. Birkenstock is my fave brand but there are many other good brands out there.
