Overview

Peripheral artery disease (PAD) also is called atherosclerosis obliterans (pronounced ath"er-o-skleh-RO'sis -ä-blit- -ranz) or peripheral vascular disease. This condition causes reduced blood flow, usually in the legs and feet.
