plantar wart scar tissue

Post a new topicby livingwith on Wed Jan 09, 2008 11:22 pm

I’ve had several different plantar wart treatments on the same heel over 30 years ago. The wart is apparently gone but I have been plagued with painful scar tissue ever since. The cure has caused more pain then the affliction. The scar tissue constantly builds up. Paring the tissue only results in more scar tissue buildup. The pressure pain is constant and has affected my gait, resulting in back/joint problems. Any ideas on how to handle this scar tissue?

Hi! I am at this time searching for a good foot Dr. who will be able to give me some relief from the same affliction you are going through. When I was 14 or 15 I had a bad case of plantars warts on both foot. Mainly my left foot. Now at 51...it feels like hard tissue buildup under my callous areas under my toes. I recently had foot surgery for a very painful Mortons Neuroma in the same foot. For some reason this foot and and the left ankle have had more problems than anyone would believe. Achilles Tendionitis for over 4 years...plantar fasciatis too. The surgeon who did my foot surgery can feel "calcium deposits" /spurring in some of the areas of my foot. I wonder if there is a treatment out there for removing these "build-up" problems using a laser??? Let me know if you find some relief! CJ in SC
