i had this problem and after 2 years decided to go to a podiatrist and found out i didn't have a plantars wart at all . my metatarsal bone had dropped down and was protruding through the bottom of my foot and as the body's natural protection was callusing . and this is what was thought to be a plantars wart. check to see if your wart has prints on it . from my info a wart does not have prints on them but callus does. i had surgery to elevate my metatarsal in june and am doing wonderful now . i is just great not to feel like i have a pebble in my shoe all the time . good luck
