Cost of carbondioxide laser ablation for plantar warts?I have been diagnised with plantar warts on my toe, and have been suggested Carbon di oxide Laser ablation of the warts. Has anybody undergone this procedure and Can give details about operative and post-operative costs of this surgery? Thanks in advance!
Re: Cost of carbondioxide laser ablation for plantar warts?Using a laser is one of many current treatments for recurrent warts. The laser pretty much burns the wart off just like liquid nitrogen. It can be done in the office or done in the operating room if there are multiple warts to treat. Unfortunately, the cost of the procedure needs to be discussed with your surgeon. I would recommend talking to the doctor's office manager or billing person to find out more about your out-of-pocket cost. Most times insurance covers this procedure. Post-procedure, you may have to do change the dressings once a day because of the burn from the laser but do ask questions to your surgeon for more information. Hope this helps!
Re: Cost of carbondioxide laser ablation for plantar warts?I do not know how much it costs, I already paid my co pay for the year. But I had that THING on my heal for 9 months and just now finally had it surgically removed with the lazer, a week ago. I gained 13 pounds because I was no longer able to put pressure on my heal this THING made my life a living H""".(I use to walk 2 mile every other day) I am glad it is finally Gone! I can't wait to getr moving again. I am a very young 40 YearOld active female and this made me feel like a broken down old fat fart! So now I am on my way to feeling better, well not yet I still have the pain from surgery. I did not have stitches.
Re: Cost of carbondioxide laser ablation for plantar warts? To give the cost on a procedure is very difficult. The cost is dependant on whether your insurance will cover the procedure or not. I believe it is covered, but to be sure I would call your insurance company. I would also check with your insurance company to see how much co-insurance you are responsible for and what your deductable is. If you don't have insurance, then I would ask your doctor for a cash discount. With all the treatments available for warts, most all the procedures have the same result. Good luck!
