Plantar Warts

Post a new topicby Guest on Mon Apr 22, 2002 11:03 am

My doctor has recommended freezing as a treatment. I have not started yet, but a friend told me that it is very painful and after the freezing the warts become blisters. My question is: Is this true and what should I expect after the procedure is complete?

The freezing can cause blisters. All wart treatments are painful. This is done in an attempt to kill some of the virus as well as to stimulate your body to start and immune response in the area to help fight the virus causing the wart.

i have had two warts on my feet frozen off over 5o times. never did i get a blister. the pain only lasted for a few minutes and the sooner and more aggressively you treat these warts, the sooner they will go away. a few minutes of pain is worth it, although freezing did not solve my wart problems.
