plantars wart returned after 3 monthsI had several plantars warts on one of my feet and had them removed surgically. I did some investigation on them and felt having them cut out was the most successful option. After 3 months is back as big as it was before. I know that sometimes they come back but is it normal for it to come back this soon? Should I call my podiatrist? What should I expect?
Thanks for your advice! Amy M
Re: plantars wart returned after 3 monthsIf they come back, they do can back very soon after there removal. You should call your podiatrist to let him/her know. You may want to start treating it with an acid to as soon as possible to see if this helps but talk to your podiatrist first.

Re: plantars wart returned after 3 monthsIt sounds like the cutting wasn't deep enough to pull the entire wart out. Also, if you still have the virus in your body, just because you have one cut out doesn't mean that it won't come back or another one will pop up.
Re: plantars wart returned after 3 monthsI am told that they often come back. From what my doctor told me it will certainly be a long time before I will be rid of this virus. I've had had mine surgically removed twice. Now I am experiencing a lot of burning sensation coming up the side of my heel.
