I have developed a small plantars wart on the bottom of the base of my big toe. I have heard many different opinions on whether I should have it removed or just leave it alone, it doesn't hurt and it only bleeds if I mess with it, which I refrain from doing. I have gone to a doctor at my universities clinic and he told me that because it is small and there is only one that I should leave it alone because the treatments are very painful, often do not work, and complications can occur such as scarring which can be very painful also. My question to you is should I risk going through the treatment only to have it reoccur again or should I just leave it alone since it doesn't really bother me? Honestly, I would have it removed. A wart can reoccur, but they can also spread to other parts of your foot and even spread to other people when left untreated. Therefore, I would have it treated by a podiatrist so you do not have to worry about it anymore.
