Veteran Sufferer

Post a new topicby Social Security on Sun Jan 17, 2010 6:06 pm

Hello,

At 35, I was afflicted by several nasty nickel-sized warts directly on the ball of the right foot. Persistent buggers! Cut out the first time---deep hole, very painful. Returned with a vengeance six months later. This time laser surgery---would have occurred in 1985.

Now, I am disabled with an idiopathic version of small fiber peripheral neuropathy and have developed a plantar wart right between the big toe and second toe on the right foot. The infection set in seriously last night, with obvious swelling and deep redness, extending several inches up the right foot.

Currently have Keflex on board, with a regular visit to my physician coming up next week. Is surgery the answer here? I thought I was done with this medical nightmare. On top of the nerve pain associated with Neuropathy this wart is really raising hell----now that I can feel it.
