What could this be???

Post a new topicby Guest on Mon Aug 05, 2002 9:04 am

My daughter is 3, a few months ago I noticed a small hard black protrusion on the knuckle of her large toe. We have been to the Dr. who tried unsuccessfully to remove it, a podiatrist who treated it as a wart, and nothing changed. On our last visit he put on a heavy duty acid, said to leave the bandage on for 5 days, it fell off after 1, and now we do not see the black, but I'm concerned that the top was burned off and some may still be within the toe. It looks to me like it might have been a tic, or some other foriegn organic matter. I'm concerned, what should our next move be?

Sorry about the delay. If you still have the black piece, you could bring it to your doctor to be identified. However, if the black dot has not returned, everything is probablt fine and I would not worry about it.
