Re: I’d do it all over again…Hi, I am a 44 y/o female, and also a nurse. I was told I have RSD from an injury at work on 02/11/08. My job did not carry work comp ( Not sure why), but I was let go because I could not due my job per dr's orders and I know I could not with the pain. I have never known pain like this. I have had a number of abdnomal surg. and would due all of them again to have a pain free day. The one thing I know is that we as RSD suffers have got to stay together and have a voice as one. I know about the pain, depression and not wanting to leave the house, but we can not give in to this horrible syndrome.
I had a nerve block that did nothing but cause more pain, the burning, swelling, and sweating are all apart of this syndrome. I make myself do the thing I do not want too, like everyday ADLs, going outside ect. I am NOT going to let this beat me down, and on some days it does. I hope I help you some and remember hang in there one day may be better then the day before or after.
