I was diagnosed with RSD after a soccer injury in 9th grade. I never took any of the nerve blocks that were suggested. I had a friend who also had RSD and had successful treatment from a doctor outside of Texas. So I immediately went there. I was on crutches for close to a month and when I showed up at the clinic they did several x rays. After I left treatment from that one day i could not walk but was able to straighten out my leg and put some weight on it. The doctor is DR. Rhodes out of Chorpus Christi, Texas. It is a LONG way, but by far worth it. You don't have to undergo any surgeries or painful nerve blocks. You don't have to even take any medicine. He uses a machine that sends electrical impulses, to be honest i'm only 20 went when I was like 15 or 16 so I don't know a lot about it, but i can tell you my RSD has been in remission for over 5 years.
