Hi Wendy, I was diagnosed with RSD also this year in March. I went to the emergency for pain in my wrist, I had an xray and told my wrist was broken. I was casted for two and a half weeks, when the cast came off, I was told my wrist was not broken that I had dequervins tendonitis . I was then put in a splint and told to do physiotheraphy. No one would tell me for sure what I had at the hospital and they didn't seem to care, I then went to a private OT who diagnosed me with the RSD, thank god I went to her as my right hand was seizing up, and she said if I didn't start moving it, it would stay that way. My Doctor hasn't a clue to what I have and doesn't seem to care, the Dr in Orthopedics doesn't seem to concerned either, I'm trying to get a second opinion to see a Neurologists. I to have little use of my right hand. I just wanted to let you know that I have flown several times since my diagnoses and had no problems, my hand just became stiff from not being able to move around, but other than that I had no more pain than usual.

Hi, I have had RSD for two years. I have been told both 5 doctors that I can NOT fly in an airplane due to the different pressure in the plane. It will cause more swelling and pain. I would suggest your ask your doctor.
