Sister with RSDMy name is Amy and I have a sister that has been battling RSD off and on (mostly on) since she was a teenager. Re: Sister with RSDHi Amy,
I just wanted to commend you on your post. I have been living with RSD for over 20 years. Your post was terrific; I liked especially your comment in the 1st paragraph about the ingorance. My original back injury went undiagnosed for over 3 years. By then, the damage was done. As you know,if treatment is not done PROMPTLY, there is more than likely no reversing of the damage. Your third and fourth paragraphs were great. I could not have said it better myself. You certainly are a great sister. I also lost my job and had to go on disability; then what do we think of that 2-year wait (from the date you are entitled to your disability) before you can get on medicare. If you are applying for disability, don't we know that is when we CERTAINLY need to have medical coverage. It just doesn't make sense to me. God bless your sister and you for caring so much. dar in pa
