More about Myelin

Post a new topicby Truth Seeker on Fri Aug 14, 2009 11:28 pm

I would highly recommend that all RSD patients become informed about Myelin.
Nerve damage is caused by inflammation. Inflammation occurs when the bodies own immune cells attack the nervous system. Repeated or ongoing inflammation can occur along any area of the brain and spinal cord.
Medical literature states, that when myelin sheath are damaged, nerve impulses are slowed down or stopped and I am not questioning this at all, but what I am questioning is their understanding of shifts and consequently counter clock spinning, which increases inflammation as well as impulses by far, this in turn will lead to extreme overheating.
Viruses of course can also lead to inflammation, but I seriously question the current medical understanding of at what speed a virus can travel through the system.
