Hello, my mother is looking for a surgeon for a knee replacement. She has RSD in the other knee. We cannot find a doctor to help us. We live in the Philadelphia/New Jersey area, but are willing to travel anywhere to find a doctor is is not afraid to operate on a person with RSD If anyone could provide me with the names and contact information of a surgeon I would greatly appreciate it.

Have you tried Mayo Clinic in Rochester MN. They have great surgeons with people who are well versed in RSD. I don't know if they will operate but I can tell you you will get the best advice all around from them. Here's a contact number 1-800-660-4582

I hope and pray that you all find relief and soon. Hopefully they can do something short of surgery that will enable you to find pain relief, g0j0g0

Good luck ! I also live in the phila area ( suburbs ) and have been black balled from the medical community. I have been turned down by Jefferson hosp. and Einstein also. I hear there is a doctor ( nuerosurgeon ) at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore that is very familiar with RSD. His name is Ira Garanzo. I have not seen him personally but I hear he is very good.
