Damaged Fat Pad under Right Heel

Post a new topicby Guest on Sun Aug 12, 2001 6:27 pm

I felt a severe pain under my right heel two weeks ago playing soccer (45 yr old male). No swelling or bruising. I've been told by other players that I probably ruptured the fat pad. Is that possible? If so, how long does the fat pad take to heal?

Rupturing your fat pad is not really possible. You may have torn or ruptured the fascia or a ligament. You may have even caused a stress fracture to your heel bone. Therefore, you should see a podiatrist so you can be diagnosed properly.
