Fracture to lateral sesamoid

Post a new topicby Guest on Sun Jun 03, 2001 12:12 pm

After about six months of foot pain when I walk, I have been diagnosed a fracture to my lateral sesamoid. doctor said my CT scan showed no blood reaching fracture since it has been so long since my foot first injured, healing is pretty much out of question. effect will have my lateral sesamoid removed, have on normal foot fuction physical activity after recovery?

It will cause the joint to be slightly less stable so you may want to get orthotics afterwards. However, it will not heal at this point so surgery is probably your only option.
