Hip Pain

Post a new topicby Guest on Sun Jul 29, 2001 4:05 pm

What would cause hip pain/discomfort to the lateral side after running. I have had problems with one leg shorter than the other. What would help overcome this discomfort.

When one leg is shorter than the other, this causes stress on all of your joints because the body is tilted. Therefore, you should see a podiatrist and talk to the podiatrist about orthotics. Orthotics are custom made inserts and one can be made a little higher than the other to compensate for the shorter leg. This should give you a lot of improvement; especially when you run.
