Knee pains

Post a new topicby Guest on Mon Aug 05, 2002 5:06 pm

Hi, i have been running for a while and have recently bought a pair of GT2070's which are supposedly for overpronators. The trouble is my shoes wear on the outsides which i believe is underpronation. Just recently i have developed a grinding sensation in my knees and permanent aching. Could it be the trainers causing this and is it worth visiting a podiatrist to correct this wear problem on my shoes? The insides of my shoes barely get worn at all so its not long before my shoes are useless!!

It is normal for shoes to get worn down on the outside of your shoes unless it is very severe. However, the knee pain may be caused by your foot shape. Therefore, you should definitely see a podiatrist and bring your worn down shoes to show him/her. You would probably benefit from orthotics which your podiatrist can prescribe for you.
