I have a sesamoid fracture in my foot,A bone scan comfrimed it.I had a walking cast on three weeks, my foot is same. doctors says I need surgery.Is re anything else can be done or Is last resort? am I going to need more surgery bunions in future?

If a sesamoid has not healed after 12 weeks, there is a small chance it will heal in the future. Therefore, surgery may be your only option. Removing the sesamoid can cause bunions in the future but the use of orthotics is a good preventative measure.
