I run 32 miles a week.I have been running 17 years.I am currently having pain both in arch entire metatarsal region. pain is bearable during running putting any weight on it such as driving aggravates pain.I have been running on orthotics about 10 years old.Do r feet change as age do need new orthotics to reflect changeI am bow legged overpronate.Since I hurt mostly when I am not running type of orthotic is best?

Functional orthotics for active people are very similar. The keys are to use a material that will support your foot while absorbing some shock at the same time. The second key is to find a podiatrist who specializes in biomechanics and sports medicine. These types of podiatrists deal with orthotics for active people the most. Yes, your feet do change over time and orthotics definitely need to be adjusted if not replaced after this amount of time. Have a nice day and please write back if you have any further questions.
