Pain along outside of foot

Post a new topicby Guest on Sat Jan 26, 2002 3:47 pm

I get pain under the outside of my foot. Sounds strange I know. It starts in my right foot and then after a few minutes begins in my left foot. It ends up being in both feet. When I stop running it subsides. It started about three pairs of sneakers ago. I'm pretty sure it isn't my shoes. I slightly supinate. The only place I have been able to run without pain is on a paved beach road in N.C. I have tried treadmills, sidewalk, middle of the road etc. I don't have easy access to dirt trails or tracks. What is this mysterious pain?

The pain is due to your supinated feet. The outside of your feet are getting too much stress applied to them when you run. You should see a podiatrist to get orthotics that will help balance your feet better. They are beneficial for many runners who have foot pain. Have a nice day and please write back if you have any further questions.
