Running

Post a new topicby Guest on Tue Apr 09, 2002 9:19 pm

In school I'm doing a project on designing a track shoe and I don't know exactly how the stress is distributed throughout the foot when sprinting on the balls of the feet and on the whole foot. I'm hoping to find out where to place more cusioning in the shoe when running different events.

A track shoe has very little cushioning in it because it need to be light-weight and it is important that the runner feel the track somewhat with their feet. Threfore, cushioning during a sprint is not very important.
