sore big toe

I'm 44 years old while playing floor hockey I noticed my big toe had a lump under it like a small stone under toe pad close to toe next to it. At first I thought it my sock or some thing in my shoe however, r nothing in my shoe sock fine. It is know almost two weeks is still very painfull when used. Can not much weight on it. Is swollen slightly not bruised antinflamatory drugs, like IBprofun seem to help rest is best. could it be. Thank

You may have what is known as turf toe or another condition known as sesamoiditis. There are many structures in this area that can be injured. Therefore, you need to see a podiatrist so you can be thoroughly examined and properly diagnosed. Have a nice day and please write back if you have any further questions.
