Sesamoiditis/Sesamoid Fractures

I am experiencing my second round of this. The first time was not as severe, about a year and a half ago. I have played sports my entire life and now this. I am in a walking aircast boot. I took Motrin 800, helped relieve the pain until it was at its peak swelling. I do have a fracture in the bone. It has been 2 weeks, the swelling is down, but the area where the joint is, it is tender. I would definitely like to know if this will continue to occur or will it ever heal and go away.
