icing sesamoiditis?

Post a new topicby Guest on Wed Feb 06, 2002 8:30 pm

I have been diagnosed with sesamoiditis with fracture ruled out by xray. I have had this for a couple of years, but it has recently gotten worse. I have shoe pads added to my orthotics and naproxen was suggested. Would there be any benefit of direct ice massage to help bring down the inflamation?

Direct ice can help. Also, cortisone injections into the area are very effective.
