Need Help Stat

ok so I am like everyone else on here in that I definitely have sesamoiditis I got it from running long distances, uphill, everyday. It started as just pain and then eventually fractured. I went to a podiatrist he gave me the "boot" to wear which "immobilized" my foot to an extent but pre-warned me that I might always have pain in my foot due to the area of the injury. Has ANYONE found any solution to this problem, acupuncture? Surgery?...how did it turn out as far as pain and motion of the big toe afterwards? I am a runner and I play tennis avidly so not being active is not an option for me...but also, being in pain everytime I do something also is not an option. I am interested in hearing anyones solutions--short term or long term--and how you are feeling after said solutions. Thanks!

I had a fracture in my seasmoid in February of this year. I waited until June April becuase I was scared of the outcome of the surgery. I went ahead and had it and now I am totally satisfied with it. I now play college soccer and I very rarely have a problem with it. I would recommend getting the surgery if you haven't all ready.
