second toe numb

Post a new topicby Guest on Mon Aug 22, 2005 11:43 am

I have sesamoiditis of the lateral sesamoid which was diagnosed approx. 1 year ago, but have had symptoms for nearly 2 years. My doctor treated me conservatively with Arthrotec and rec. new shoes and inserts - which I got. At first I saw a lot of improvement. I moved, and did not follow up, did not find a new doc. Then the Arthrotec began to upset my stomach so I discontinued taking it. So, now I have been putting up with pain for several months. I woke up Sunday morning with my second toe numb and it is still numb (Monday morning). I was dancing Saturday evening, and am assuming it has caused the numbness. My question is - could this be related to my sesamoiditis?
