Can a small "scab" on my left nostril be a basal cell cancer?

i am a 51 year old female.I have a tiny red "scab" on side of my left nostril..it began to spontaneously bleed no trauma done to it..it scabbed over..still original red..should I have it checked by a dermatologist? thank !

It is more likely a little blood vessel growth. However, no one can tell you with certaintly without actually looking at it. Please see your dermatologist.
