Hello, A few years ago I had a strange place on my shoulder blade that itched... It was not a mole infact the dermatologist didn't want to remove it because he said it was probably scare tissue. We still insisted to biopsy it because it itched sooooooooooo bad. So he called me within a couple of days and said I was wrong and the biopsy came back and he explained it as a Spitzoid Nevus and was very much pre-melanoma... So I had surgery, had it removed, etc... And from them on .. they want me to come in for a skin check every 6 mos. for pretty much ever. Is that normal? I have never quite understood my diagnosis. Can someone shed some light? Thanks!!!!
