skin cancer

I had radiation for a basal cell carcinoma that was anal. Am having trouble with a yeast infection now. was treated with two weeks of diflucan. four days after completion of diflucan the yeast infection started again. i took 100 mg dose. am having terrible pain with bowel movements since the yeast infection got out of control. would it be better to get a culture and find out exactly what it is that is causing this or to just go ahead and take a double dose of diflucan? symptoms are severe burning, itching, bleeding extremely severe pain with bowel movement. i was radiated on the skin to 1 inch in the rectal channel.

I've tried to give all the information you need to give me an answer. I'm having terrible problems with pain and am looking for an answer to getting the yeast infection if that is what it is cleared up. It certainly appears to be a yeast infection but is it possible that it could be something else

Keep in close communication with your doctor until you resolve this. Take some supplements which contain acidophilus and bifidus. They could help replenish your intestinal "good" bacteria. Ask your doctor about more Diflucan or perhaps a different brand, such as Sporanox. Apply some healing creams, such as calendula. You can also try a drop of lavender oil on a damp cotton ball and swab several times daily.
