I’ve had the surgery twice and it hasn’t helped me. I’ve tried just about everything I can think of - physical therapy, chiropractor, pain specialists, tens unit, herbal remedies and nutrition supplements. Lyrica helps a bit with the pain. It’s really expensive, though.

i got my dignosis in of august 2003 and had surgary in september of 2003 and like yourself i thought that was the end of the problem only to have the nightmare start a few months later.( it felt like it never healed right ) i put up with the pain thinking that this was the best that it was going to get ( boy was i wrong it could and did get alot worse). i went back to the orth doctor and had to have another emg ( what fun they are ) and found that i still had tarsal tunnel, i had surgary again in march of 2007. and was hoping that was the end of this nightmare only to have the pain return only a few months later. like yourself i two have small children and i got very depressed to the point i was put on anti-depresents, ( due to what i was unable to do with my children) after a few months the orto doctor said there was nothing more he could do besides send me to a pain doctor. it was a very upsetting day to think that i would have to deal with this pain all the time for the rest of my life i have since been told that i have tarsal tunnel, chronic disesthetic foot pain, insertional calcific achilles tendonitis, chronic neuropathic pain. and now the pain specialists has tryed all the pain meds (lyrica) now i have a tens unit, and nothing is really helping either. now the pain specialist is talking about a spinal cord stimulator. if you or anyone else can think of something that i have not read about please let me know my e-mail address is [moderator note: contact information has been removed] or if anyone wants to talk about this problem just drop me a line and i will get back to you.

I have been to 6 different doctors with no results. The pain doctor suggested a stimulator also. Did it help you any? What about accupunture?
