i got my dignosis [diagnosis] in of august 2003 and had surgary [surgery] in september of 2003 and f i thought that was the end of the problem only to have the nightmare start a few months later.( it felt like it never healed right )

Hi! Wow, sounds like a real stuggle--and as a fellow Mom, I can certainly understand your frustration with being unable to do certain activities with your children.

I have an autoimmune thyroid disease (Hashimoto's Thyroiditis) and have been having symptoms that match tarsal tunnel. In my research to find out what is wrong and if it is related to other health issues (which is usually the case, right--it is ALL related. But that is the problem with going to a "specialist"--they only treat the symtoms of one problem) I have come across much information on the relationship between muscular and nerve problems and thyroid issues. You should google "tarsel tunnel thyroid" to see what comes up and do similar searches from there. Depression is also a red flag of an underactive thyroid (hypothyroidism). You may be interested at what you find. Thyroid diseases are among the most underdiagnosed ailments in our society and are the basis for so many other diseases and disorders. Of course, the underlaying reasons for thyroid disorders are significant in healing yourself. Getting to the bottom of it is probably best done with a practitioner that works with you to find the root cause and looks at ALL the health issues you are having (I am working with a Naturopathic Doctor, for example).

hi, I know exactly how you feel, I too have foot pain. It started out as plantar fasciitis in one foot, got better went to physical therapy, and now I have terrible arch pain in both feet, with a muscle weakenss in the calf area, my podiatrist thinks it pf. I think all the stretching caused this problem. I have done so much research and believe it is tts. I have a neurolgy appt this week. I am so depressed also, have two children and hardly can do anything. I also am at a loss as to who to go to, pod, orthopedist, or a neurosurgeon(since it is a nerve problem). I am so scared because, the foot seems harder to operate on than a heart. Its hard because my symptoms are so odd. anyway any advice. thanks

i really understand how u feel. i have the pain and numbness on my right foot for 6 months. i did foot massage 3 times already and i got better. maybe you should try.
