ankle area pain

Post a new topicby Guest on Mon Apr 07, 2003 11:26 am

for about a year I have had intermittent (every couple days or so)stabbing sharp pain that seems to begin in the left lower ankle top of foot and shoot up toward my lower calf. In the past week it has escalated in severity-and is now happening every few minutes. It is a jabbing sharp pain not related to activity or the way I move my ankle. It does not feel like bone pain or joint pain. It HURTS! There is some tingling aspect to it. No numbness in toes. No pain on bottom of foot. Any ideas? Thankyou for any info you may have.

I know what you are talking about. The same thing happens to me. It happens about every two weeks. The pain is so severe I need assistance leaving where I am to go home. Have you had a diagnosis as of yet? I am going to see my doctor next week. Good Luck!

Have you seen a doctor? What are they doing for you? The sharp pain seems to stop in my knee cap.
