Cause of TTS?

Post a new topicby Guest on Sun Jun 03, 2001 12:12 pm

I injured in 1995 resulted in my third cervical fusion two weeks ago. I left hanging three years no treatment - due to a workmen compensation insurance - resulted in a complete herniation of discs fragmentation. I have also undergone arthoscopic surgery on one of my knees (same injury date). I am currently waiting on approval treatment on my knees again - y both swollen I have a difficult time walking due to stiffness pain. Blood drawn off of both knees. Now to my question about feet. I have had symptoms as described under TTS about 3 years now. I once told I have neuropathy - now y say no is not problem. I do experience some numbness in my feet. burning tingling pain in my feet is awful I can not walk very long at all. Sitting down gives some relief - pain is still re. My question is - could eir of my injuries caused TTS does it sound like is I am suffering from. Any help would be so appreciated.

You probably do not have TTS. TTS is due to a compression in the ankle area. I would guess that your pain is do to a nerve entrapment in the back rather than the leg. It is very common for people with herniated discs to have foot and leg pain do to pressure on the nerves in the back. Good luck and have a nice day.
