foot painAs I said in my other posting I have been suffering for almost a year. The pain started in the heel of my left foot, went in to the lower inside ankle and up into the inside of the calf area. Very sore. Almost feels like a sprain at times. I also have pain the runs along the outside top of the foot making my small toe and next one in numb at times. I am thinking this is likely to be nerve damage. I am going to Dr. on Wed. and asking to see a specialist for the foot for nerve damage and tarsal tunnel I believe I am on the right track. Has anyone once again tried cortisone? Should I try it first or is it just a waist of time? I feel that I should a specialist first then go from there before I take my gp's advice for cortisone. I feel it could just mask the problem then I will overuse the foot and cause a worsening.
I work in a factory and stand for 8 hr. Some days I walk back and forth constantly from r to l sides of machine loading and unloading parts. This is very repetitive and my foot hurts so bad when I am about 6 hr into the shift that I can hardly stand it. I have been off work now for 6 weeks due to whiplash from a MVA and have been receiving laser on the foot from my massage therapist when getting treatment on the neck. Nothing is helping. Not even being off the foot at home. I am getting very frustrated and have to go back to work soon. Any one have any suggestions?
