Foot pedal causing tarsal tunnelHey,I'm glad I found you all!
I believe using my foot pedal for my transcription job is causing forefoot numbness that is now rather constant. I have tried wearing different shoes, arch supports, different heights of chair, and even when something works at first, I can't seem to duplicate it the next day. I have a hand support with a sort of beanbag type lump to prevent numbness in my hand...I've been thinking about trying to make a sort of beanbag type foot pedal shoe based on the same principles.. Anyone had any experience with numbness associated with using a foot pedal for work? Rain1234
Re: Foot pedal causing tarsal tunnelI am struggling with that in my hands right now. Have had it for years, and now it is triggered and really bothersome.
The tarsal tunnel has been much better and glad that I had the surgery. It is a slow recovery, but to lead a productive, normal life would be great. How long ago was your surgery? I think mine came from years of work on my feet as a waitress. I worked in a very busy place and supported myself but did a lot of wear and tear on my feet, so paying the price now. On the neuroma web site many are complaining of pains that seem similair to the tarsal tunnel problems, and I suggested that they make sure they do not have that. Did you take the test to confirm that you had it? I think it tells you how far it has progressed as well. I had never heard of it until I was complaining after the neuroma's had been discovered and the doctor thought we should test for it. Did you take physical therapy? I am 4 months post op on the left foot and 2 months post op on the right and not sure if it would make a difference at this point?
