Hi all,

Just wondering who on here has tried lyrica and what your results have been. I was just given them by my doctor- who also told me I would never run again but I am not any where near ready to accept that :(

I take Lyrica for TTS. It has cut my pain down, I would say 75% and I can live with that compared to before. Some days are worse than other days but it has been a godsend. I take 50mg once a day, at night before I go to bed. The PA prescribed 2 a day, but I didn't like the way I felt so I cut back to one a day. I know if they really start hurting as before, I can always increase the dosage to two and live with the way they make me feel. I think they make a 75mg tablet. They are expensive tablets but well worth the money or for me anyhow. I hope you have the same luck with them. I just got back from vacation. Did alot of walking on cement and standing for 8 to 10 hours a day. When I would get back to the room at night my feet would bother me but I was not in the pain I would have been prior to taking Lyrica.

Hey i was on it before surg and it helps alot!!! Even after it does but it gives me nightmares for some odd reason. I think it is a side effect of deeper sleep. Neurontin helps in high doses too. You may not ever run again, i cannot even walk without a limp still 3 mos after TTS. Everyone is different. The surg helped but this is a side effect, the ankle is still larger that the other and swells at times. Dr. says it is normal....slow process...may take 6 mos.
