Numbness & pain in feet

Post a new topicby Guest on Sat Sep 01, 2001 3:58 pm

I have had numbness in the ball of both feet radiating to all toes. This numbness is continually..never ceasing. Burning accompanies the numbness at times. Some times a "charlie horse" pulling sensation will occur in one of my toes (it will lurch forward on its own). I have been seen by a podiatrist(3 visits) without a diagnosis. A nerve/muscle test was performed by another doctor which resulted in his report of negative nerve damage. However, I have alerted the podiatrist of sciatia problems since the birth of my two children (18 years) and also having scoliosis (no surgery). The podiatrist noticed a considerable leg length difference though. Also, on my right inner foot above the arch, it always feels like I have something in my shoe. I've tried many different shoes but the same problem exists. I tried a gel pad and this caused a bruising when it was on and off the foot. My podiatrist gave me some shoe inserts to support the arch and they help while I'm wearing shoes but the numbness never ceases. Can you help?
