Problems after TT release surgery

Post a new topicby ihadthesurgery2008 on Mon Jun 16, 2008 6:37 pm

I have had a very hard time getting back on my foot to walk! I had the release 3/28/08 and I go to P.T. 3x's/week and it is a very cumbersome process. The foot still has shooting pains and spasms some days all day long. I take Neurontin and Tramdol and Celebrex now for the pains and they hepl sometimes. My therapist now thinks i have a L5-S1 problems causing the nerves in the inner calf to be compressed and make the foot hurt so bad at times i cannot walk at all. I have pain and sensitivity in the inner calf and there are knots and scar tissue from the muscle tightening. She says it is separate from the TTS but i do not know????
Any one else out there having this issue? I am almost sorry i had the surgery!!!!!!!!

How are you doing now? I still have not decided to have the surgery, just continue to suffer.

I had Tarsel Tunnel Release surgery on March 30th. The recovery time has been very slow. I still can not walk very far. I can get from the car into the stores, but have to use a scooter to shop. I am scheduled to have surgery on the other foot on Monday. I am hoping that after the surgery on the second foot I will begin to see progress. My doctor has been very positive. My job has a "no light duty" policy for employees in my position so I have been unable to return to work. I am hoping that by August I will be able to be up around with out assistance so I can go back to work. Have you talked to your doctor about what the physical therapist has told you? Maybe you should get a second opinion.

they just found out that i have this problem,I've been trying to tell the other doctors for 3 years, but they didn't listen,i have had almost everything done but no release done,i don't think there is any cure.we just have to suffer this an take some natural herb, never tried it an I'm thinking i might.an what I've been hearing, nothing works.so why not.
