Re: second injectionHi ,I am new to this forum. But not to TTS. I received my third and last injection 2 weeks ago.(I have it in both feet). But I also noticed the pain became worse with each shot also.Actually I think it felt like the pain was clearer as to where it was coming from on my feet. But it made it more intense.I told my Dr. about it and he seemed to understand.I refused to get the 4th shot. So,I am now going to undergo the surgery.I will find out the surgical date tomorrow. He feels this will work for me,I am also getting the ligament on the other side of my ankle tightened up at the same time.As I have problems with it giving out on me after turning it severely a few times in the past.
Re: second injectionI only have it in my right foot but it a lot worse after the second shot I called to tell the doctor it had that it was waking me up at night and the pain was worse. They said that he didn't want to give me anything else till he see me on the 21st. I am thinking because the injection did not help at the he will recommend surgery but i dint know for sure .Let me know what your doctor says and good luck.

Re: second injectionwent in for the office visit he decided to not do a third injection because the second made it worse so he switched me from Nerontion to lyrical . It seams to help some but i still have the sensitivity in the foot as well as pain it has gotten better but it is far from 100%. I am on long term disability from work it will only cover me till my foot is better ,My question is the lyrical could be covering up some of the pain but not all and my question is does tts ever get better with meds or is this med just covering this up. he has said the next step is surgery but he said sometimes you go in and can find what is causing the compression and sometimes you cant . That doesn't sound very good so i am very confused i don't know what is going on . how was your tts release surgery did it go well i hope you r doing good.

Re: second injectionWell I got the surgery done on the 27th along with Brostrom repair on the other side of my ankle. My TTS does feel better. But I am still non weight bearing in my air cast, so I can't really tell till I walk on it.Hopefully next week. I think. But it feels much better than the other foot does right now.I have never taken any of the drugs for TTS and nerve pain.Thankfully!I hear some negative stuff about the side effects. And if there is a side effect I will get it.LOL.I know it is a very confusing decision to make to have the surgery or not.My Dr told my hubby that something (a nerve or vein???) popped right out when he cut the tendon.I was out of it- in recovery room. But then he also made an incision on the bottom of my foot also.I need to ask him why?!If there was something there to release too? Good luck if I can be of any more help let me know. But I feel it might have been successful, imagine that..a positive post about their surgery?! Sharon
