Tarsal tunnel surgery

Post a new topicby ihadthesurgery2008 on Wed Jun 11, 2008 8:53 pm

I had tarsal tunnel release surgery 3/28/08 and am in physical therapy now. I had plantar fasciitis and also a heel spur(still there).
I am having alot of pain. I am unable to put my foot on the ground flat because the scar tissue in the ankle is sooooo tight. It hurts so much to walk. My therapist is doing massage, ultrasound, and i have stretching to do but none is helping. Now i had a recent set back and the nerve along the inner calf area has scar tissue in the form of knots so when the therapist applies the slightest pressure, i scream with nerve pain because everything is inflamed. My ankle is still huge and swells sometimes but it looks deformed. My surgeon did a great job but the side effects are killing me. Anyone out there with similar issues???
