Tarsal Tunnel SymptomsI have very flat feet as confirmed by two doctors. My latest diagnosis by a Podiatrist is Tarsal Tunnel My question is: Is it common to have symptoms in both feet at same time both feet's sypmtoms starting at around same timeframe? My left foot is noticably worse than my right, both feet have symptoms most in my toes.
My toes tingle, most prevelant at night or when I'm at rest. Sometimes I get a pin prick sensation, again in my toes. Mostly, it's just an odd sensation is not usually painful, just nerve racking.
Re: Tarsal Tunnel SymptomsTarsal tunnel syndrome can occur in both feet. It is a likely diagnosis especially with flat feet. However, if you have any back problems, a nerve could be pinched in your spine causing the same symptoms. Also, if you have a vitamin deficiency or diabetes, you could have symptoms like the ones you describe. However, there is a good chance you do have tarsal tunnel syndrom. The good news is that most cases of tarsal tunnel syndrome do not need to be operated upon. There are many conservative treatments that your podiatrist should offer you first. Good luck and please write back if you have any further questions.
