Tarsal Tunnel

I have been experiencing ankle and knee pain forever but something clued me in today while I was at my pain (I had back surgery afew months ago) management dr. appt. I was trying to explain the pain I had in my ankle that travels up my leg and I was pressing around my inside ankle area under and a little to the side of my ankle bone when all of a sudden I had what felt like an electric shock go down into my arch and up my leg. That is the area that I have severe pain in. The doctor (pa actually) said with hardly any emotion "that's your nerve". So tonight I did some research and found out about this syndrome (tarsal tunnel) and it totally fits my problem. So now what do I do?
