TTS

Post a new topicby Guest on Thu Oct 10, 2002 1:05 pm

I had a nerve release about 4 years ago. Since I am still in pain, and have severe numbness the doctor did another nerve test - which was normal. At times my feet turn a light blackish/blue.

Now what do I do? What else might be causing the problem?

The numbness you are feeling can be caused by many conditions. First, a nerve test can be normal and you may still have tarsal tunnel syndrome. If the pain went away after the surgery and then returned, it is likely that you have tarsal tunnel syndrome that has reoccurred. However, the fact that your feet turn different colors sounds like a circulation issue. There is a condition known as Raynaud's phenomenon which causes your skin color to change and even causes pain. Therefore, you should discuss these options with your doctor and probably consult a specialist for a thorough examination and diagnosis. Have a nice day and please write back if you have any further questions.
