Born in 1966 with exstrophy of the bladder, underwent ureterosigmoidostomy and multiple surgical repair attempts of extreme epispadias (urethra completely open from bladder to dorsal tip of penis).
Recently I discovered a lump on my right testicle cord. After seeing my doctor,I had an ultrasound that showed nothing despite the fact that the tech, my doctor, the physician's assistant and my wife all confirm that the lump is there. That night, I found another lump in my right groin and this weekend, I found another lump on my right testicle cord. That's three lumps. I'm supposed to see a urologist soon, no word yet.
I guess my concern is since those of us born with exstrophy are prone to latex allergies, kidney infections and the like, are we more prone to cancer or tumors?
Is there anyone else who has had similar problems?
